TRIO CONCERTO ALANKARA

The Trio Concerto Alankara is a very poetic ensemble. Trio Concerto Alankara combines poems and stories with romantic music. Music from the East and the West is performed in their program, warm melodies but also very sparkling or meditative, enthusiastic played by these musicians.
Michaela studied violin at the Conservatory and then at the Academy of Musical Arts Pilze to Prague, where she has completed her solo study Cum Laude. She was winner of various competitions as a young violinist, laureate of the Concours Sevcík, where she received the Special Prize for the interpretation of contemporary music.
As 1st violinist of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, she played regularly as a guest at the Concertgebouw Orchestra. Simultaneously she continued her violin studies at the Conservatorium Amsterdam with the famous violinist Mark Lubotsky (pupil of David Oistrakh), later she followed lessons with Jaap van Sweden.
Michaela performs as a soloist and plays regularly in several music ensembles, including the Trio St. Petersburg, ensemble Ars Floreat and Concerto Alankara and performed in France, Germany and her home country the Czech Republic.
Esther de Graaf
Esther started at the age of ten with flute and piano lessons. Because she was more in love with the flute than with the piano, she began studying flute at the Utrecht Conservatory. At the Sweelinck Conservatorium Amsterdam she completed her musical studies. As a freelance flutist Esther pereformes in different orchestras in the Netherlands, including the Netherlands Radio Chamber Philharmonic, Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra and the Asko-Schönberg Ensemble. In Germany she was a member of Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, with which she made many tours. Now she plays in various Chamber music ensembles; such as the Dutch wind ensemble Reicha. As a member of the Ensemble Ars Floreat and the trio Concerto Alankara, a wonderful combination of flute, violin and harp, she gives concerts in the Netherlands and abroad.
Diana de Vries
At the Rotterdam Conservatorium Diana de Vries studied initially with the well – known pedagogue Margot Flipse and subsequently with the world-famous Italian harpist Susanna Mildonian.
After graduating she continued her studies with Edward Witsenburg and Mariëlle Nordmann in Paris. While still a student she began developing her wide-range musical activities, from symphonic playing through chamber music to her work as soloist.
Diana de Vries has been solo harpist of the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra( Het Gelders Orkest) since 1982. She is also a member of the Eurus Chamber Ensemble, Trio Sagaro, Trio “Les Trois Muses”, duo Concerto Elysee. In duo combinations she also performs regularly with voice as well as various instruments including the flute and organ. Her repertoire is extensive, ranging from the Classical period through to the Avant-Garde.
In addition to her extensive performing activities Diana de Vries has built up an outstanding reputation as a teacher. Together with her harp playing Diana also compose for the harp.
